Hmmm... from what I saw they were random, but didn't seem to put me back in to trouble very often. I guess in fields with huge hordes, probably, but still, we'll see how they work it in the final release. I'm just waiting for teletrappers or Necrotic Traversal/Porters. We'll see how it works, but I'm thinking there will be a fair share of teleporting madness.
Related, but Slightly off topic:
In Diablo II, I have an Dragon's Flight Assassin. Porting from enemy to enemy is nice, but I find that they way they did it wasn't nearly as entertaining as what I've seen of the Assassin build here. I'm waiting for the R/A to kick in for teletrappers (which is what I was originally trying to do using the Blade Sentry and Dragon Flight).
